Hello there!

I’m Ambrose Reed, an illustrator, animator, and designer based in Philadelphia. I love to create beautiful and charming visual work that either communicates something meaningful or offers a moment of joy in a complicated world.

I’ve been obsessed with animation since age 11, when I started making stop motion cartoons and learning Flash. I took some detours and eventually earned a BFA in Printmaking, which gave me a hands-on, process-based approach that serves me to this day. I then worked for a startup as their in-house creative lead until I was let go during the coronavirus pandemic, and started my own creative business.

These life chapters helped me accumulate a wide array of tools for visual communication and artistry. I’ve dipped my toe into everything: live TV broadcasts, audio mixing, bookbinding, office logistics, online sales, children’s book illustration, songwriting, and more. I’m obsessed with storytelling in every medium.
